As the automotive industry moves to cold-formed and near-clean steering shafts, starters, alternators, wipers, power Windows and seat regulators, it applies its rolling capabilities to this market. To supply blanks for these shafts, it developed the patented KINEFAC Center Drive lathe. As the use of hollow shafts increased, they were introduced into the metal extruder.
